Born January 29, 1988, Narcisse Joseph Jr., (AKA) TRU Tactics Tha Truth is a Louisiana native raised in the small city of Abbeville, LA. Discovering his talent and skill for wordplay at the young age of 7, TRU has since become an extremely versatile artist, producer, and songwriter.

As an independent local artist TRU began working toward building a name for himself at the age of 13 and has since become a pretty well know artist and producer in his home town. Running his own in home studio with his self-taught skills in production, engineering, songwriting, graphic design, and video editing, TRU has earned the title of "One Stop Shop", amongst his associates.

This is what TRU had to say when asked, "Can you tell us a little bit about what artists inspire you, what music means to you, and why you chose to become a recording artist?

" (TRU) " Well, I think I speak for most when I say, the artist who has inspired me most along the way would have to be TUPAC Shakur. Especially where I come from.  Pac spoke to the hood, about the hood, and for the hood. His music made you not only listen, but feel everything he spoke about.

He showed you the good and the bad, and in the bad times he showed you hope." So on that note I'll go on to say....That's what music is all about. It's about connecting with people, giving them life through music, giving them something to feel. It's about self expression and expressing things that others are too afraid to say.

It's about being the voice that everyone can relate to." That voice that speaks the things they want to say, but can't." "So to answer the final question, thats why I chose to become a recording artist." To express myself, connect with others, and be the voice for those who can't speak for themselves."
